WP: Jean, since I've known you, I've seen your entire physique change over a short period of time. You have gain so much mass and it's really showing! I'd like for you to tell our viewers a little about yourself?

JM: Sure! My name is Jean Monvilus. I'm 27 years old, married with 2 kids. I'm in the U.S. Army and have been in for 8 years. My family came from Haiti and moved to Florida where I grew up. I didn't have a bad child hood or anything outrageous; it was just difficult when your parents split at an early age. I never had much but appreciated everything that I did get.

WP: What was it that made you know without a doubt that you wanted to go into bodybuilding?

JM: It was during the last deployment I was on. I gained so much muscle, and not being conceited, I looked great. From then on, I told myself I want to keep this up and one day I will compete.

WP: How long have you been lifting?

JM: I've been lifting on and off for about 5 years now.

WP: What do you eat in a normal day?

JM: On a normal day, it all depends on how late I'm running or how I feel. But, I would say in the morning, I have a cup of coffee, a bagel, bacon and eggs. For lunch I try to eat something with a lot of protein but, that doesn't always work. For dinner, I eat some skinless chicken, white rice, and mixed vegetables.

WP: Do you allow yourself a cheat day?

JM: Yes, my cheat day, when I'm not cheating during the week, would be on a Saturday or Sunday.

WP: That's when I like mine so I can eat with my friends and family! What supplements do you take?

JM: On the days that I just lift and no cardio, I take NA NO vapor. On the days that I lift and do cardio, I take Black Powder. My post workout is the Anabolic Halo, and of course my protein is the Nitro Tech.

WP: Could you tell me a story of how you have gotten where you are today?

JM: I guess I can say it started when I joined the Army back in 2000. I always enjoyed lifting weights, but I was never really serious until I deployed the 1st time. One of my friend's and me were in it religiously every day. I went from 155 lbs to 175 lbs in 5 months. From that time on, I've in the gym, but the deployment that I just came back from is what set it off for me. I have never been stronger and looked so much better than I have the last 15 months that I was in Iraq.

WP: you have anyone you can thank for helping you get where you are?

JM: Yes, I would definitely thank my wife for being behind me with all the training that I've been doing and my good friend, Patrick. He helped me in Iraq to gain a lot of the strength and power that I have gained while I was there.

WP: Where do you want to be in 5 years?

JM: In 5 years, I want to be out of the Army and being a Personal Trainer/Model.

WP: You look great! How do you keep the physique you have? What is the hardest thing for you to face when it comes to keeping your physique?

JM: The hardest thing for me is watching how much and what I eat. I love to eat and a lot of the time it doesn't matter to me what it is because of my metabolism. But, I have a hard time accepting that my metabolism isn't that fast anymore.

WP: Tell me about your future projects. Have any in sight?

JM: As of right now, the only future project I have is the Universe 2009 in Miami June 18-21. It will be my 1st actual show.

WP: Wow! Your first competition! That is outstanding! Good luck. What gets you up in the morning?

JM: Knowing I have a job, knowing I have something to prove to the people that always down talk to the little guy or the rookie like myself. Being a provider for my family and being a role model for my kids and friends. Just knowing that I can get up and what I do always has an impact on someone's life does it for me.

WP: Wow! I love your answer! How do you approach a challenge?

JM: I assess the challenge and see what I have on my side and see what I have against me, then move from there.

WP: How do you create balance in your life?

JM: Creating balance is difficult. I just make sure with everything I do I make time for my family. Once they’re happy, then I can continue on with what I have or want to do.

WP: What one piece of advice you can share with me on how to gain the most muscle the fastest?

JM: I have found through trial and error that when I lift heavy, doing anywhere from 8-10 reps and 3 sets, also doing a body part a day besides biceps and triceps, I have gained weight the fastest.

WP: Who had the most impact on you growing up?

JM: You know, a lot of people would say their mom, their dad, God, but I can't give you a straight answer. When it came down to it, I knew what was right and wrong and no parent can be with their child or teenager 24/7, so I would say I was my biggest impact. My parents taught me right and wrong and I followed through.

WP: Have you played in sports before?

JM: I played soccer most of my life, and my senior year in High School I played football.

WP: Anything you would like to see change in the bodybuilding world?

JM: I think the only thing that I would like to see is, when it comes to competing, the entry fees and costs of sponsoring wouldn't be so expensive, and the bodybuilders and models would work more with each other instead of being out for themselves. I'm not the most knowledgeable person around but, I know if I had anything to share with someone that needed it I would without any hesitation. That's just me though, everyone doesn't think like me.

WP: Any shout outs?

JM: Yes! I would like to give a shout out to my wife, Patrick Hackney, Jason, Pauline Mitchell, Ashley and everyone at the Body Renew Gym in Achorage,Ak. Also, to all of my friends and family, and special thanks to you, Tammy Renee.

WP: You posted your new pictures on our social networking site and all I could say is, "Dang! This guy has grown!" Well done! A person couldn't help but to notice! What is the funniest story that has happened to you while working out?

JM: It was my 1st deployment and a buddy of mine was talking all this mess while I doing my set on the seated rows. Well, his turn came up, and he was still talking mess. He got half done and the D-ring broke and he slid from the seat to the floor with the bar still in his hand wondering what happened while everyone feel on the floor laughing.

WP: I'd be laughing so hard I couldn't stand myself! That is too funny! What are your interests outside of bodybuilding?

JM: I like dancing, I enjoy going to reggae clubs and other dance clubs, and I play soccer.

WP: You have been a pleasure to interview! Thank you for your time and good luck in your future bodybuilding endeavors!

JM: Thank you, Tammy. I've enjoyed it!
